And how does it feel and handle? I looks really well.

Hi Markus

It handled / felt purty good to me .....
I think for most it will be a very excellent feeling / handling sword !
( I'm just rather spoiled these days ,with my fully blown custom toys, so factor that bias in )
I'd have preferred it a 1/2 lb lighter, or so, but Gus did have these built with alot of heavy use in mind !

* The Royal Armouries, at Leeds, has an early baskethilt example, of this style , which weighs in at 3.21 lbs. , but it's overall length is a good 4 1/2 " longer ( blade length accounting for some 4" inches of it ! )
-- Gus's blade is a tad wider, though --
*As shown in The Oakeshott Institute Journal, Vo. 1, #1 .

The only real cosmetic suggestion I made to Gus , concerning the hilt, was to recess the capstan nut more !
I think the stainless nut really detracts from how nice the hilt looks !
( if nothing else they could be blackened to match the pommel, etc!)

Mac
I like it. I agree with you on the capstan nut. It would look better if were recessed and blackened.
