Although no-one likes a price rise, paying what we do for this particular product seems reasonable for something that is going to last a lifetime. I'm not saying they're cheap but compare these prices to some common household appliances or even more expensive clothing items, and then work out the expected use/longevity of these other items and compare it to what you get from an Albion. I can't afford to rush out and buy an Albion on a whim but when I do spend money on one I think every dollar I give them has been well earned by Albion.

Hmm. Good point.
Although, come to think of it, the only more expensive thing I own is probably my Canon EOS 350D, which is worth more than I am...
