Medieval indoor fighting facility?
In these last six or seven months I've gotten really emersed in the Liechtenauer German fighting tradition and its following interpretations, mostly longsword and wrestling. All the training has been outside and weather can interfere from time to time. Some eastern martial arts had the dojo. So my question is...was there an equivalent type of structure or room that was dedicated to fighting practice back in 14th or 15th century throughout Europe?
Hello,

Yes, 15th century medieval swordsmen would train in a "salle", a private school run by a fencing master. You also read about knights training with sword and lance in the castle courtyard.
