I have a friend who recently ordered a Del Tin Orcrist blade from the Albion Moat Sale for a personal project. He would like to have a sharp blade on this sword, but is afraid that he might screw it up if he does it himself (I think he'll be just fine, but I understand his concern). Is there anyone who does sharpening that he can send this blade to?

Why not let Albion do it?

I sent Mike an e-mail to ask about their sharpening policy, but I couldn't remember if they will sharpen swords that are sent back to them. My guess is that is the route he will take. I was curious if I would get any other names or suggestions. Thanks, Gary.

To the best of my knowledge they will refurbish and resharpen anything but of course you need to check with them. One of my training partners just got his Del Tin back from them. It received an entire grip replacement which made a drastic improvement of the overall sword.

If Albion won't sharpen it for you(and I bet they will), Arthur Elwell of "A work of Art" certainly will. He's sharpened blades and turned out some custom work on Deltins for me over the years.
