Guilty. I seriously annoyed a lot of people during my visit to the Bayeux tapestry a few days ago.

I've just read all the old ones in here and they do bring up so many memories.

sigh... i actually did that once upon a time.

Just remember to always craddle the sword in your arm when falling asleep. Otherwise you might roll over it, which i remember to be very painful, even with a blunt.

yeah, at the time all i had were wasters, so it was a little less of a concern; then again that is how i held them, and feeling one of those in the ribs has never been pleasant in any other context... :P

You know you are too far into swords when you realize your grass needs cutting and you have been more concerned with how well you are cutting tatami with a particular sword.

When you wonder why parents and peers are so against you bringing swords on campus

I'm more worried about the train station, I only bring my sword on campus if I have to travel by train - otherwise it stays in the car if I plan to do some training after classes - and weapons - even blunts - don't go well with large crowds. Up until now nothing has happened and if I ever get stopped I'll ask them whether they would stop someone carrying a baseball bat.
I expect they would if he is dressed in a leather jacket and combat boots but if he got his teams jersey with him... An aketon & fencing mask are my jersey!

Oh and also, if you want to write something down but instead of finding a piece of paper on your desk, all you can find is some leatherscraps, needle and thread because the last thing you did there was sowing up the beltloops for your scabbard.
Though, there is nothing wrong with writing down the number of a room on a piece of leather. I hope.
