Albion La Tene with leatherscabbard.
Hi, i made my first leather scabbard and wanted to share it with you. :)

Its made of 3 layers of leather and i used wax thread for stitching.
I`m thinking about putting in some rivets but i`m not sure if it was done back then.

Wow Eric! That is beautiful! I own that same sword also and mine still needs a nice, comfy scabbard. Very well done!
Nicely done, Eric. I, too, have a LaTene that needs a scabbard, so your results are very interesting.
Thanks guys, good luck with yours :).

Eric,
what type of leather did you use? I vaguely recall one or more forumites remarking that some types of leather are bad for the steel.
And why did you use three layers of leather?
Thanks Tim. :)

Steve,
I didn`t know that, i used cow hide. 3 layers are used to protect the thread from the sharp edge. The middle layer is cutout to accommodate the shape of the sword.
