I can only wonder if this sword would be better on horse or on foot. Probably on horse because of the blade, but the pommel balances it out, so I dunno! In any case, this sword is quite elegant in its simplicity.

When I told Mike that Albion employees should work 24/7 I was only joking! Sheesh...

Now let's see what's left....The Sherriff (Fall 2005)....the Kingmaker (Late 2005) and the Munich (Late 2005). About 7 weeks to go...will they make it?
I wonder which one's next....I'd put my money on the Munich....dunno why exactly....just a feeling....

I'd guess the Sherriff... :D

... gee, wonder if I can read between those lines... ;)

In all actuality, I'm pretty interested to see any of these next three. The Sherriff will be a neat alternative to the Sovereign, which continues to grow on me. The Kingmaker is also a piece I really am curious about, because of the geometry. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what a single-handed piece with this thick center rib handles like. And then there's the Munich... which took me about, oh, 0.025 seconds to decide I had to have, based on the sketch alone, and actually, it wouldn't have taken that much. Just an announcement of "a piece closely based on the Bayerisches sword" would have pretty much sealed my fate. I think it went something like this:

(saw Howy's "Introducing the Munich" thread...)
(hit speed dial #1 :p )
"Yo, Mike!"
"Hey, bud... how are ya?"
"Uh... good. Munich's mine."
"Cool. I'll put you down for one."
"Sweet. Hey... how much is it?"

One thing I have to say in addition... this has been an explosive period - what is it, 10 or so swords entering production in a couple of months? That's a major sprint, with great results!

Yeah, when I first saw the completed Talhoffer, I called Mike straight away and our conversation was about like that. :p
