I can't get over that pommel! The pommel and cross complement each other perfectly with the blade. The grip looks just the right length. Oh, how I could go on! But I can't seem to find the words! *fainting* The Talhoffer is definitely a sight for sore eyes! Worthy of the Lourve!

I particularly like the Talhoffer's guard, and I wish there was an example of this type of guard among the single handed swords.

The Type XVa is certainly among my favorites! Surviving Type XVa swords are probably the most common type you'll see today, not to mention many of the more 'famous' ones (i.e. the sword of the Black Prince, or the many swords of the River Dordogne find near Castillon). I see many XV's and XVa's in period art. They were the first true 'cut & thrust' swords of the time.

I didn't like the concept drawing of this one at all, but I do like the completed sword a lot. Some very fine lines on this one. Normaly I'm not that fond of scent stopper pommels but this one looks real nice.

Just got off the phone with Mike. Switched to a Talhoffer w/ oxblood grip! Mike says it's an awesome sword that's lightning quick. Can't wait! It should arrive in about a month. :D

I think the next new swords we see will be the Reeve, the Bayeaux, the Hospitaler, and the Thegn.
I'm really looking forward to the Reeve with its brazilian eye pommel

The upcoming appearance order should be Bayeaux, Thegn, Reeve then Hospitaler. At least, that's the order I sent out the production waxes. :cool:
