Thanks for posting the pics, both of the armour destruction and of your group's activities - decent gang you have there!! Looks like (for the second time in a row - first was Lanze Fest :wtf: ) I missed a good time due to hurricanes. I had actually planned on coming up for the week, and hanging out at the faire for the weekend. Another time...

Golly gosh it makes you want to get out of the way FAST no matter what armour you might be wearing: Would any single blow have been survivable ? We are seeing cumulative damage which certainly makes things look grimmer. :eek: :lol:
I'm not letting any of you guy anywhere near my armour. :p :lol:

Thanks Aaron! Spring is Lloyd's 14th century event, and is usually less Hurricane-ridden if I understand the Weather Channel. :)

Survivable, definately. Pleasant, no. The first couple of hits probably would have broken ribs, but not much else. One of the big problems with our demo, is that the breastplate had nowhere to go after it was hit. In reality, I would thing that a large wind up swing that we gave it, would have carried the wearer of the breast plate back a bit instead of just standing their and absorbing the damage. The later hits after the breastplate had been fatigued, now there's where I think you ge tto the point of structural failure.

I'll look at it... My intent was to head up to catch up with the Albion crew for a week - both trips happened to coincide with these events by chance. That trip I am hoping to make in November, if scheduling allows... Would be cool to catch up regardless of an event, though!
'Cane season ends in about a month... Can't wait to see it finally come to an end! Sucks that you guys had to miss out on my being there! :p
All joking aside, there were quite a few hands I looked forward to shaking, yours and Lloyd's included for sure.

That I don't have. My photographs are from Sunday and we only used the bec on Saturday. I'll keep my eyes open for pictures from other sources on Saturday though.

Unfortunately, I broke the Bec (not bad, but I have to replace some rivets and perhaps fixing a weld or two) when I used it on Saturday and forgot to bring my other one with me on Sunday.
It did horrendous damage as I first used the hammer to flatten out a section of the breastplate before flipping it over and burying the Raven's Beak into the armour (going about 2 inches deep). You might not be dead, but you sure wouldn't be happy (or in fighting shape).
