One thing that should be mentioned is the focus of this type of book. If you are looking for a book with a focus on martial use it will rarely be one like this. Most of these books are written from the historian/museum curator viewpoint, and focus on the item as an historical object rather than as a weapon.

Perhaps someday we'll see books with a good combination of both aspects but right now the study of the actual use of these old weapons is still in it's relative infancy.

Thanks for clueing us in guys! I'm going to order my copy as soon as I sell off this baldric and scabbard that I got with the claymore... hmmm reminds me I need to get that in the classifieds.
