Hello,

I have the Ochs Lichtenour Preview clip from Chivalry Bookshelf, and was wondering if anyone knew who made the swords they were using. Those are longswords, and seem to have much longer grip handles than swords from Atrim, or Albion.

Thank you.

Hello Mike.
I recon, you mean the swords in the training sequence at the end of the trailer?

Since I was unable to recognize the swords from the video, I just wrote an E-mail to Hans Heim. Thought, this will be the quickest way to certain answers. We'll see... Happy

Hello Mike and Micha,

we use different swords for our dvd. In the intro Alex uses a sword from an (at least for me unknown) Czech swordmaker and I use a sword from the Luthel.

We use in our trainings lections aluminium swords made from an member of Ochs. They have longer grips and are very useful for training. They are a little bit like the swords which are shown in the Goliath fencing manual. You can get in contact with the maker at: walter.neubauer@freenet.de
He also make very good aluminium Lange Messer (ask him for the new design).

Servus (a bavarian goodbye)

Hans
