Sweet! I was wonering how that handle was going to turn out. Looking good!
The pen is mightier than the sword, especially since it can get past security and be stabbed it into a jugular.
This site would be better if everytime I clicked submit... I got to hear a whip crack!

Howy says it's easier to handle than he expected, which is true - he was whizzing it around like nobody's business. But, if any of you are around my size... I actually hurt my wrist playing with the thing this weekend. Granted I'm half Howy's size and operate at about 1/8 his strength, but still. Wow.
I immediately found a spot on the wall at the house where this item must hang. Now to figure out what is strong enough to hold it to a wall... I think it would be especially great to have a very strong magnet to hold it to the wall, so you can just walk over and pull it off at any sign of danger. I'd estimate that any intruder would leave willingly and quickly if they saw you coming at them with this thing. Perhaps we should market it as a home and office security system?

Great work!! That thing is an absolute beast! and at 12lbs....wouldn't want to get hit with that in a full swing! looks like it just wants to decapitate someone.

Amy, it's great to finally see that one in production. It will make a great companion to the helm. If you have one you've got to have the other, right?
Frazetta paintings have always been some of my favorites. It's nice to see these things made a tangible reality.

Couldn't agree more, Patrick. Heck, it's just really nice to have it finally out of R&D. This item gave us a lot of grief in that process. On top of that, I was worried, since the helm came out so well, that the axe wouldn't live up to it. But the final product is beyond my expectations. Long live the life of Frazetta artwork...

Fantasy axes usually don't do it for me, but this one has a certain charm to it.

Charm. I like that! It's charming in the way mere gravity will put it through a strong man's neck. The butt spike is charming in the way it seems to say, "I take care of the DD's light work."
I love that axe! You don't realize how massive it is 'til you hold it, then it begins to fit your hands after just a little while and whisper, "Use me. WIELD ME!".

Just in case you were serious about wanting to mount this axe with a magnet, try a Neodymium magnet, such as can be found here:
http://www.unitednuclear.com/magnets.htm
I have a couple small ones that are about 1.25" x .5" x 7/16" and each will pick up 35 pounds of steel. If you go this route, you will probably need to coat the magnet with something to avoid scratching the finish on the axe. One word of caution: Don't get your finger between two of these magnets.
