Another one of those... What's your next five going to be?
Alright the thread up top where Aaron and I were talking about this or that we had on order or wanted to order had me got me to thinking... what's REALLY next on my list? I've got a Sword of St. Maurice paid for but it hasn't shown up yet and I've got a Brecia mostly paid for so I'm not counting those. So my next five will be:

Arms and Armor Henry V
Albion Regent
Albion Knecht
Arms and Armor Horseman's axe
Jacob Powning Viking (I hope)

In that order I think unless some wildly good deal shows up somewhere. So how about you? Let's see your next 5 in order...
My list is constantly changing.

However, I do have a little list of production swords.

Albion Gaddhjalt
Albion Regent
A&A Viking spear
A&A Townguard sword
Albion Squire.
next 5
Well....I just orderd a Mercenary and the Knecht....which means the Doge will be my 7th "free" sword from Albion (My 2nd).

I will probably order the Munich and the Prince after I pay off the above!!!.

Cheers
Dave Lannon
Yesterday, I called Albion and changed my Poitiers order to a Fiore. So the next 4 after that may be:

Albion Knight, a rapier from Darkwood, Arms & Armor Eng. Longsword, and Arms & Armor Edward III.

Ted
An Eljay English baskethilt with an ATrim backsword blade should be showing up sometime next week. That one should really be something else.

Future swords? I have a list, but it changes. Models may hang around on it awhile and then fall off, sadly unbought. Some things on it right now -

A hanger or cuttoe from Old Dominion Forge

English Longsword from A&A

ATrim DN1532

A Cervenka Schiavona

From Albion - Condottiere, Gallowglass, Markgraf, Reeve - none of them exist yet. I'll probably only get two of these four.

Stage combat swords: - rapier from Darkwood - one of ATrims sparring longswords - some of Albions Maestro line, when they exist.

As I said, there is no way that I will buy all of these swords. They are just the ones swirling around in my head right now.
Alright, alright... but I have to put a disclaimer in there as well... there are a couple of custom makers out there that may slide in between something. Also, Russ... 5 pieces constitutes a significant full collection in it's own right. I see we're also including non-swords. In fairness, I'll include something non-weapon, since it will be a significant part of my collection and will be coming very soon...

I'll count the Hersir, even though it is already pretty much a done deal... will be in hand in about 2 weeks.

SO... here goes...

1: Albion Next Gen Hersir

2: A 16th Century full harness by Scott Martin of Illusion Armoring

3: Albion Museum Line Svante

4: Arms & Armor Knightly Pole Axe

5: Albion Next Gen Munich

If you don't count the Hersir, since it's an all-but-done deal:

6: Albion Museum Line Solingen

The Gaddhjalt is a piece that, given the convenient opportunity, I would grab in a heartbeat. It's a surprising piece in hand. I really liked it. As I mentioned elsewhere on these forums, I had a tough choice between it and the Ritter while in Atlanta - wound up bringing home the Ritter instead. It almost came down to a flip of the coin, but I liked the Ritter better for an early Crusader.

The Squire was another Atlanta acquisition for me - neat piece. Love the aesthetics of it, and it handles quite well, too. I think you'll like it.
1 & 2. Albion Fiore, a sharp and a not-so-sharp (for 'safe' practice)

3. possibly a Munich, though I'm beginning to have serious doubts about that one
4. Albion Baron
5. Albion Knight, with a Baron pommel if I can talk Albion into it

Somewhere in between/before/after I'll probably buy some knives, daggers, an axe, some plate and mail etc etc the list goes on and on and on.....
Money is a bit of a problem right now but I expect to be able to order the Fiores in August.

Tough for me to decide on these pieces that aren't out there yet. The choice between a Poitiers and a Fiore (or one of the other new longswords, for that matter) would be a difficult one for me. Same goes for the list Roger put in here - it all gets muddled there for me. Significant reordering might occur once the Maestro Line pieces come out...

It actually was hard for me to put a list together... I can name pieces that I find interesting and fit the slots in my collection, but prioritizing is hard. There are about 20 pieces I could spout off right now, but in no particular order.
Next five likely transactions/projects (2005-2006)

• 17th c. sword by a well-known custom maker (stay tuned for details)
• 16th c. spear (MRL+Me)
• 16th c. Irish target (Me)
• 16th c. Irish dart(s) (Me)
• Late Roman spatha (Me, a project for my wife based on a surprisingly spatha-like Chinese blade I have lying around)

An MRL German Halberd/Voulge may intervene somewhere in here because I just can't get it out of my head. La la la, la la la la la....

My next several swords:
--Albion Sword of St. Maurice. This will be my 6th Albion sword.
--Albion Bayeaux. This will be my "free 7th."

After that it gets tough. I'm thinking:
--Berserker
--Jarl
--Vassal
--Agincourt
--Crecy
--Munich
--Gallowglass (free 7th)

That sounds good. Now to go rob a bank...Just kidding!

You needed that, Patrick. Outstanding addition!
Sweet axe! I keep meaning to branch out my arms collection, but Albion keeps bringing out things I have to have. :(
I'd particularly like a Danish Axe like that one, an early Mace (Iberian mace?), and an 11th-12th Century spear/lance. That would round out a pretty representative early collection.

Is A&A still having that 10 or 20% off sale?

Brian M
I forgot all about the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum Sword sword... That one's definitely on the list as well, but I figure I've got some time on that one so I'll have some of the others cleared before it starts being produced.

Yes I did. Thanks Sean. Last night I was swinging it around the back yard and I swear I could smell the salt marshes at Senlac. :D

I don't think so. I paid full price.

Nope sale ended in April, I ordered the St. Maurice on the last day...
Bummer. On the other hand, I really need to focus on paying off my Albion Sword of St. Maurice. I literally can't wait to get ahold of that one!
I believe the scabbard is an integral part of the history of the SoSM, so I'm ordering that as well. Really I don't think this sword should be ordered without the scabbard.
