Hi All,
Just a last minute reminder about our fundraiser this weekend!
Medieval Faire to Benefit Proposed Living History Museum
Fox Lake- The legendary Black Prince of England and his court are coming to Fox Lake to celebrate Mydsommer (the Summer Solstice) and to raise money for a proposed living history museum, based upon a historical interpretation of a Medieval English Village.
The Camelot Medieval Mydsommer Fayre will be held on June 25 and 26 at the Fox Lake Fireman’s Park. This is the second major fundraiser for the Historic Camelot Project, a non-profit educational organization that presents historical educational programs to Wisconsin school children and that is seeking to build a recreation of a “medieval” village as a living history museum in Dodge County. The “Village”, as project members call it, will allow many thousands of Wisconsin school children and adults, to experience the daily life of Britons from the early 5th Century to the 14th. The children, and adults as well, will learn about how our ancestors lived firsthand, in order to foster a greater appreciation and love of history. The Village will be the only one of its kind in the Midwest and will offer both education and entertainment to visitors.
Beginning at 10 am and running through 6 pm each day, visitors to the faire will be treated to music, dance, food, fun, and a Real, Full Contact, Jousting Tournament, provided by the world renowned jousting troupe, The King’s Champions. The faire will be fully family-friendly and will provide plenty of medieval merriment for children of all ages!

I forgot to add that we will be raffling off a totally kick-butt Crusader Helm made and donated by Allan of Mercenary Tailor. Tickets are only $2 for a helm that would have to retail at about $450. By early and often (If nothing else, come and see the helm and drink mead!)

Lloyd, is there any way those of us who won't be able to attend ( like me) can still get in on the raffle?

Hey Aaron, not for this one, sorry, but Allan has already volunteered to make more for the October faire, and that will give me time to figure out how to go about doing it properly (we are doing this one as "must be present to win".
Rod, thanks Little Brother, wish you were here to joust with me, you gotta see my new lances - the totally and completely ROCK!
Just 3 days to the fayre - its is gonna be a great time - come up and enjoy the day!
