November is almost here. Month of Thanksgiving, rain, snow storms and compound hilts. Big Grin

The fall close out sale is over, but to bring the compound hilts to market were offering 10% off all Compound Hilts, both in stock and pre-orders:

The next week or two will bring a second line up of basket hilts. They are here and blades are done, we are just waiting to get the hilts back from Bluing to get pictures. This set built more for the Practical WMA is slightly over sized, left or right handed, not totaly a-historical but not reproductions. We will be offering 2 blade types to start. A Blade similar to tho slightly longer than our 15th Century Side Sword. The second will be based on our Cruciform blade. We'll bring out a few others to seclect from as time goes on. Wraps will be spiral black leather. Pricing will be well under our 16th Century hilt at $650.00 blued and wrapped with customer choise of blades. $585.00 with the Nov sale!

The 16th Century Irish Basket Hilt we offered from E.B. Erickson will be back in stock some time soon. I'll open orders for them on the 1st. We will have three more hilts patterned in the same historical hilting as our last. Blued with Leather and wire spiral handles by Christian Fletcher. We will also be receiving the original proto-type hilt. It will be for sale after it's blued and pictured.

Practial Rapiers:

After two years the new line of Pactical Rapiers should be here and out this week. With feed back from the Olympia Sword Fighting Guild, the Chicago Sword Play Guild and many others we feel we will bring the finest practical practice rapiers (PPR's) to the WMA market. Blued hilts with a variety of blade leanghths from 36"-44" and handle leanghts from 3.5-4" will be available. Inital delivery will be 4 hilts wich will go fast, we have 10 more on order with delivery in the next quarter. Pricing yet to be final mid to low $400's. Ordering and pricing will be finalized and open on the 1st.

Also make note the Specials page has some neat things on it as well:

Hey Josh,
Will the rapiers have the hilt shown in this link?

http://www.angustrimswords.com/News.htm

Or is there another hilt for them?

Any chance you could reveal who's making the hilts? Or is this a secret to be unveiled at a later date?

Hi Bill

It's not realy a secret per say but were not going to advertise it either. We ran into an issue with a group of folks (non-main stream rapier folks) who were atempting to steel or recreate our prot-type blades going so far as to atempt to steel our heat treatment process. While we not realy all that upset abought it we need to quit flat out giving away all our contacts, makers and methods.

We have a couple of folks making hilts for us so we can offer a selection of them. They are suposed to be in my hands this week but they have not shown up yet Worried
