best,

Howy
Looks like another fine piece from my buds at Albion!

Bet this will look great dressed in campaign brown on my wall! Looking forward to checking it out, perhaps at the Blade Show? :D
Howy,

I have planned to use some of my pay for Lanzefest to pick up a sword or two from you - you are just making it too difficult to choose!

No, no...still going to hold out for the Poitiers....maybe ;)
That one has a very clean jack-of-all-trades design. It's a fitting replacement for the original Crecy.

Very nice Howy.
WOW!!!! I nearly fell on the floor when I saw it!! That was alot quicker than I would have expected it to see it this soon! Thank you Albion!!!! you have yourself a customer! I never expected a quite plain guard would be so very attractive. It almost looks like the big brother of the squire.

How do you do it?!?! You guys must have a hidden time machine!

Breathtaking work,

Michæl f.
That's stunning.....

The Knight is first in my list, but this one is a close second now. :D Simply gorgeous. The broad blade, ending in that sharp point.... gorgeous.
It has an austere, functional beauty.

How long is the grip? Id guess around 7 inches.
That baby is SO mine!
Nice looking sword!

Brian M
Mine, mine, mine  Where is mine? :)

Oooooo....I should be getting a white box soon :)

Agreed. I particularly like its XVIa blade.

Looks like it from the site data. (44.75 overall) - (35.625 blade) - (maybe 2 and a bit for the pommel and guard) = about 7
. . . and coming in at $580 isn't bad either. . . I'm impressed and I agree - a fitting replacement for the original.

Lloyd, I still think you'd get more mileage out of something on this order than the Poiters; reach is good when up on horses as big as yours, and if I read the POB correct (4"), the sword should just fly when put in two hands on the ground, probably with a bit more grunt in the cut than the classic Fiore-type pieces on top of it all - a better demo/presentation sword, in my opinion considering your era of focus.
omg it is gorgeous ! well done
Outstanding, Howard! You guys never cease to impress. It sorta reminds me of the Baron. It's nice to see a replica Type XVI blade done properly! Great job, ladies and gents.

Oh, and keep us posted on the Poitiers. :)

Very elegant sword at a great price.
I'm betting that would look great on my wall next to my other Albion's
"Impressive... most impressive."

Well, at long last it's here! I first learned of Albion mere months before they slew the Crecy in its first incarnation. I was in Japan at the time, and buying a sword was quite impossible. There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth from my general vicinity. But Nathan advised me to wait for the Next Gen and not worry about it. I can see now that he was not mistaken. It's absolutely beautiful. A jack-of-all-trades indeed, and a workhorse of a blade if ever there was one. The lines are perfect. Graceful, elegant, but hiding an unmistakable power.

Sadly, it comes sooner than I expected, and finds me quite unable to acquire it at the moment. Before the summer is out, however, one will be mine. Oh yes, one will be mine. I can almost hear the blade sing as it bites through tatami...

Stunning, Mr. Waddell, simply stunning. I bow to the skill of your entire team. Don't sell them all too quickly. Is there any chance there will be an upcoming scabbard by Mr. Iseli?

Very sweet, guys!

In spite of my admiration for Peter's sketches, I'd have to say that the final product looks even better-proportioned than its concept sketch. Definitely an amazing feat!

Looks like a good sword for Liechtenauer and other 14th C. systems. I'm really looking forward to a review of this little honey.

Overall, I'd have to say it looks like an excellent example of the "steroid-free" XVIa variety. It certainly looks very quick and agile.
Well done.
Well, thats it. She's ordered. Now the interminable wait.....
