So. I got my bootleg bauwehr project, i.e a baunwer made from a simple carving knife bought at a homewares outlet for cheap
and.. i added this tip scallop, and it looks KINDA ugly

In hindsight i REALLY should have left it alone. But hey what can you do.

Its a roughly 10 inch blade, normal carving knife thicknesses

Ive CONSIDERED just cutting it short at the black line but id RATHER not...as it loses a lot of length

This is the knife overall,
to be honest the bigger 'impetus' for this project is learning to fit Nagel guards and also to fit and work handle scales and hollow rivets

you can see here the scallop i carved in with a 8in wheel on my 2x48 belt sander

And im thinking.. what do i do with that section now..

what originals should i use as inspiration to figure out what to do with the tip
