Armour from Safavid Iran
Hello members of myArmoury, I come with though question, at least from my perspective. I am looking for info on Safavid era 16th century armours. So far, I have looked on some work by Russian historian Bobrov, where he wrote something about emerging of these armours in Iran with rise of Qizilbash warriors and establishment of Safavid dynasty. There, he posted drawings of some plated armors which are from Shahnameh miniatures of that era.
Here is the link of plated mail armor sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lukJbgUNrUE&t=318s
Now, I am in search of full suit of armor like this one from the sample or if somebody has something more and different to show from that era and region, feel free to post. [/img]
You want to read Manouchehr Khorasani's books such as Arms and Armour from Iran, and the book Islamic Arms and Armour in the Metropolitan Museum of Art (free as a PDF).

Of the museums in English-speaking countries and western Europe, the Met seems to have the best searchable online catalogue of West Asian arms and armour. I don't know about museums in the Slavic countries!
