Hi everyone,

I've recently first heard of the Czech Swordmaker Jindřich Figura.

I had a look at his website and his prices and the quality of his work seem to be very good.

Especially the value for money seems to be exceptional...as said just from looking at pictures.

I have already written with Jindřich and received a quote for a rather complex longsword design of mine.
I'm still waiting for his quote on a simpler Messer design.

I intend to first purchase a less expensive piece in order to get an idea of his craftsmanship, before I continue to commission the complex longsword from him.

However online there is little to be found about him.

Even before purchasing a less expensive piece I would feel more secure knowing a bit more about other folks experiences with him.

Has anyone here purchased a piece from him and can comment on the quality of his work and the order-process?

His work is very good. I think I posted a review on here. My first piece was delivered on time and was excellent. My second commission is quite behind, but I'm not in a hurry.

Yes, I just found that review.

In case Jindrichs quote for the Messer is within my budger I will also post a review here once its finished.

The little number of reviews online (essentially none except yours) get to show that he is a rather unknown maker...at least outside of the Czech Republic.

So another review of his work certainly wont hurt :)
