late 14th century polearms, need to find glaives
hello people
im looking for examples, preferably extent of glaives and various cut and thrust polearms from the late 14th century, locational provenance isnt so important...

ive found various voulges and proto halberds, but id love to find glaives or spetums even moreso, stuff thats slender and maneuverable and less cutty than stabby, but can reasonably cut
William,
This is a question I wish I had a good answer to. There are a bunch of threads on the forum dealing with early polearms, but halberds tend to dominate the known examples, rather than socketed glaives. There might be some info in some of them that are of use, though. There are some items with long pointy blades, but that don't attach via sockets like a prototypical glaive.

Waldman's book discusses a number of pictorial examples from the 13th and 14th century, but doesn't mention many (if any) surviving examples from the same period.
