The only info I have on this spearhead, and what I presume is the butt spike, is that they were found in a village near Pirot, Serbia and are now on display in the village museum.

I got these photos from my friend, who said to me the spear is presumed Roman, because of the depth on which it was excavated, but that fact is not confirmed by the archeologists with whom I dont have any contact with.

I also cant confirm the 'butt' is actually of the same spear, but I think its safe to assume it is. Someone who knows better can correct me.

Im interested in knowing more about the history of this spear.

Is it truly roman, or of different make?

I know its hard to determine much from these photos, but the rib on it should suggest a copy from earlier bronze spearheads in my opinion, which could then mean that the spear predates the Romans in this area maybe?
What are you thoughts?

Any suggestion is appreciated, thank you for your time and help.

Spears are impossible to identify. The same shapes and typologies were used all over the world for thousands of years. You'd need to excavate the site in which it was found to work out the context..
