I collect Norwegian military weapons and Norway's first army for a Danish king was in the early 1600's. Christian IV appointed an army of farmers through law. 8000 were equipped with dussack/tessaks bought second hand from the European continent in the late 16. and early17. century and sold to the farmers at self cost.
