I am attaching 2 pictures of my dagger. I found it in France and it came back with me in 1980. Can someone please help?

I know little of non European weapons, but the markings seem a 34 in Hindu numerals. That can narrow the search.
Don't know what the type is called, but it looks a lot like a South Indian chilanum except for the straight blade.
Its a Jamdhar Katari used by the Kafirs of Hindu Kush.
