I found this backplate at an antiques shop and would like to know anything about it, e.g. how old is it, what was it used for and who used it, The logo or maker's mark is stamped on the lower back side and says "Florence" and has 2 trees in it. Next to the logo it say "Made in Italy" so I guess it's 20th century. It is very light weight and the metal is heavily oxidized and very thin, so I thought it more decorative than something used in warfare, Any info would be appreciated.
