I just found this whilst metal detecting at a colonial period foundation in CT

Anybody know age and possible , style and maker etc'?

I would put it no earlier than about 1920 and Solingen made. Although the basic pinned slab handled "bowies" were made in great numbers in the 19th century, this guard says German as opposed to English and the ball ends 20th century, The guard and pins white brass/nickel silver, yes?
