Compainie of the Northerne Sterre - New Members Wanted
Hi All,

If you are in the Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana and (I know it is a stretch) Michigan area and are interested in joining a new Living History group that reenacts several periods as part of an educational nonprofit - give me a yell! Our "base" period of historical presentation is as a 14th Century English Bannerette Company in France during the Hundred Years War, however, we do many different periods as part of our educational presentations (all pre-Renaissance).

We have stage combat and fiore classes on Saturdays in Beaver Dam, WI (http://www.scholasaintgeorge.org/sewisconsin/index.html) and will be active this summer and fall with both our own fundraising faires and those that we do in coordination with our joust troupe - The King's Champions.

Unlike many other LH groups, we will doing a great deal of "historical testing" to add to our NPO knowledge base.

All my contact info is on the above link, please contact me with your interest.

Cheers!

Dammit Lloyd!

If you were a bit closer to me, I'd be all over it. You've named my favorite period, and my yew longbow is beggin to do 14th century!

Mapquest tells me it's a 7 hour drive. <:-(

Ah well, one day I'll scare up some interest here in east-central Indiana.

Michael
And I am looking for archers as well....

Michael, go here:

and request membership. We will be setting up our encampments at many of our King's Champions gigs this Summer and Fall and you will always be welcome to join us.

We will also be having a LONGBOW tournament at our October 1 & 2 faire in Beaver Dam.

Have a great day!
Hi Lloyd,

Wanted to give this a bump. How goes your company?

The Midwest needs more pre-Colonial reenactment. Unfortunately, where I am now, I can neither afford the necessary equipment or make it (2 1/2 hour drive from N. Illinois) as much as would be necessary. Oh well, hopefully in the future.
