Obviously the author of a handful of books and articles, notably "The English Master of Arms" and "The House of Angelo," as well as a founding member of the British Academy of Fencing, but I'm curious about other biographical details and who he was as a person.

Somewhat recently on one of the HEMA Facebook groups someone made a comment that Castle later came to regret many of the things he wrote in "Schools and Masters of Fence" as premature. I wonder if Aylward had similar changes in perspective as he studied and learned more.

Thanks
