Can blackening be removed from Indian mail?
I found a mail hauberk for sale online which I like, and would like to buy then add a coif and mufflers to. The only problem is that it's blackened, which doesn't work for the place and time I want to represent. Does anyone know of a way to remove blackening? Would rolling it around in a barrel of sand work, or could some chemical method do the trick? Thanks for the help!
Just wear it over an old shirt for a while.
Just like Dan said ! Most people would be complaining that the blackened finish wears out too fast, or easily ..... ;)

Well, that is true for people who like and wanted blackened maille ..... :D

Oh, and the old shirt is what is going to end up blackened !
Thanks for the help guys! That makes my life a lot easier!
