Hallo all.
This is my first thread: although I have not had a specific interest in armoury, I have recently 'picked up' a curious little pistol with a number of other items I purchased. The small amount of research i am able to do without assistance suggests to me this may be a Victorian Parlour Pistol, but I cannot be sure.
Clearly the pistol has had a tough life and it had a thin covering of rust. Having removed most of this I can see there are Patent Nos (6254.13 & 2621.14). As you can see, the trigger is missing and the barrel is blocked.
I should like to try and identify the make and the possible date. At first glance i could see no markings, but then I thought there may be something under where the trigger should be. I've taken the best photos I can, so any help from you fine folk would be great.
Lastly, I'm not sure if this pistol has any value, but if I wanted to sell, where would be the best place to 'advertise' this?
Many thanks for any help you can offer.
Jack

I'm not having much success with adding pictures!
I'm trying again, but if this fails can somebody clue me into how I add additional pictures?
Thank you.
