For Sale is a World War 2 era German presentation fire axe. Used for dress and parade purposes. This one is undedicated as the the inscription plaque is empty. blade and fittings are steel with a nickle finish. Heavily lacquered wood handle. Gott Zur Ehr Dem Nachsten Zur Wehr inscribed on the engraved axe head. "god to honor, neighbor to defend".
A beautiful piece in excellent condition. 16 1/2" long with the axe head at 7" wide.
