Value: Albion Nxt Gen Clontarf
I have a Albion Next Generation Clontarf in very good condition and I'm wondering about the value. Does anyone know what the price was on that sword?
Cheers

Since you're curious, the last price listed on Albion's site that Internet Archive has a record of was $700-

But that was eleven years ago. I can't imagine it would sell for the same today, especially having been sold out for so long.
Thanks for your answer Jennifer. No, I would guess that it would have the same price as the type H and S sword currently for sale.

I read that these older Albion Viking models did not have real wire, that instead the pommel is a solid cast piece. Is that true?

It's true for the Vinland. It's perhaps the one imperfection with the sword. The appearance of wire without actual wire does look a bit odd. That having been said, I suspect it was omitted so as to avoid driving the price too high.

True for the Gotland as well. It kind of looks like wire, but is not.

Good idea Roger. I did and the only recent one was out for £600 which I think is well under its value considering Clontarf is out of production, only 100 were made and available similar models cost well over $1200 and up to a year of waiting before you got it.
