That flick was nearly responsible for getting me evicted from my apartment at the time. For some reason, folks don't appreciate drunken shouts of 'eat flaming lead death, Yankee bastards!' interrupting their Saturday afternoons very much... In my defense, that was several years ago, when I was younger.
But you're right, it was a great film and lots of fun to watch, although I personally have no idea how accurate it might have been--not my area of study.

I gotta say, Ride with the Devil is one of my absolute favorite ACW movies. I found it far superior to the overly melodramatic and soap-operatic Cold Mountain (except I have to say the battle of the Crater sequence from Cold Mountain was an amazing battle scene).
