Something a little different -- custom sword and pics
Here's a blade I just finished for a customer. Howard Clark folded blade and totally custom theme. Some fittings by Murad Sayen, others by Patrick Hastings. Polish and mount by yours truly. What's interesting is that the customer had some ideas of what he liked based on living in the Pacific Northwest. So while the blade is very Japanese in many ways, the fittings have a very obvious Pacific Northwest look. So very historic in some ways, but also very much with a modern touch. This is the sort of modern I have no problem with -- good work is good work and the carving and detail in the fittings by Murad Sayen and Patrick Hastings are fantastic.

Here's a pic to get you started...

Rather than overload the bandwidth here, I put up a short page with lots of photos on my site. Click here to see it.

And yes, it is owned by someone else. Maybe the customer will pop in and say something.

A whole bunch more pictures
Incredible ..... beautiful work all around !

Very nice Keith, and to everyone involved congrats on a job well done

I love that style of tip. I've got to get at least one katana one of these days.
Looks good so far Keith. I'm curious does the constant nattering on about Last Legend katanas and such that you see about ever get to you, or do you sort of see them as "gateway" swords if you will?
