I guess MRL has these in stock now. The verdict is in. 4 pounds, 8 oz. alone, 5 pounds, 6-1/2 oz. with the scabbard. Wink ...McM

That is incredibly heavy for something which should be fairly light. Won't be getting one of those. They use to sell something similar, the weight of which was more reasonable, as I recall.

It's really too bad... Cry ....I really like the looks of it. I wonder if Windlass will hear the complaints and try to shave off some weight. I won't hold my breath. Wink .....McM

They do pay attention to this site. As an example, they copied Tod's version of the Rothenburg ballock dagger (they can say it's from the museum photos, but the scabbard is clearly based off Tod's). They also (poorly) copied my Arma Bohemia ballock dagger from photos. How do I know they copied it? There is a shadow on the grip langets in one of my photos that they misinterpreted as the actual shape of the langets. They wouldn't have gotten that off photos of the original. Happy They changed the name of the Type XIV sword, too. It was originally called the Type IV.

So they might change things. Maybe. Happy
