Hey all!
Just saw this still from Game of Thrones.. Eddison Tollett/Ben Crompton looks like he's carrying an Albion Count.. Has Albion/Film Swords begun outfitting GoT? Does anyone know? I've seen some MRL pieces, Eddard Stark/Sean Bean had an old MRL rondel in one of the first episodes.. If memory serves.
Here's the photo.

From that photo, you can't much tell, but I think it very unlikely that GOT would be using Albion swords. It would be too expensive, and the ones in the photo would be for costume usage only. The ones used for fighting are probably made of aluminium.
Albion swords were used in the Swedish Arn films. I've seen photos of stacks of Albion swords on the set. I wonder what happened to them.

Unless the prop house happened to have an Albion on hand, I would doubt very much that is what it is. Movie swords, and guns, take a real beating when used in films and have to survive to be used in the next production. Consequently, they are usually more beefy than the fine weapons we all know and love.
