I want to introduce you to Great Type XIIIa with double fuller. That is biggest sword in my history of work. Now we will make nice scabbard for it. Soon you will see ready work.

Very nice. I like the novel combination of the double-fuller XIII with the flaring, perforated cross.

Thank you. I am very happy with the dementions that I achieved in that type or sword - when you will take the lenght of the blade and the waigt of sword.

What kind of distal taper does that blade have? Another beautiful sword

Today I want to show you historical way to make the scabbard socket. To make it you can use copper or brass plate - 3cm X 20cm X 1,5mm. It's best to have a prepared shape but I want not to make in that way and I used some ball on a wire that you can see on picture. Earlier you must warm the material up to 400C. I use a propane oxygen burner to shape my socket. Enjoy

Today the work on the great Type XIIIa is fihished. I am very happy and I must say… I just love this job! That is my real passion. All elements of the sword are hand made by me ad my lovely wife with traditional methods. Only the brass buckle to the belt was ordered. The sword after the hardening process is very straight and suitably flexible for hardness 54HRC. The first sreps of work was hard for me, because only the third time I made good fullers – that I was satisfact. The sword was sharpened with high quality belts to sharpening and by hands using special stones. What can I say – the blade is amazing sharp. The scabbard inside is padded with natural wool. The ornaments on the scabbard are inspired with oryginal ornaments on skin from XIII century. I will give you all dementions of the sword that I managed to achieve this sword.

Wow! That looks magnificent!

The double fullers and perforated cross are an uncommon combination-- but it works!

That bronze pommel is GREAT!!! This is a very handsome sword....

That's a perfectly proportioned one-hand medieval sword. I really like those last two pieces.
