Using Longship armoury 3v Tengu to test out a 45 degree straight arm short cut and a defense-breaking cut. The defense-breaking cut did not fare as good in cutting the target as it did in breaking a defense. It just could not serve both purposes equally well, since the two objectives required different factors. For cutting it needs speed. For breaking through defense it needs torque.
