Albion & Ebay.
Ive noticed there's a Albion sword for sale on EBay called the Acre. It's been on the site for quite some time now and I wanted to ask those more knowledgeable than myself why no one has picked it up. I'm assuming it's from a previous line of swords. Also I've noticed Angel swords on the same site and want to know why they command such a high price
I just looked at the very sword in question. It's rusted, dulled, and generally abused and uncared for. In other words, it's a dog. I would certainly not pay that price, Albion or not. As far as Angel Sword goes, they are total custom pieces leaning toward fantasy models for the most part...some period pieces. Yes, they are high-dollar. The smith displays a lot at Scarborough Fair in Texas...can't remember his name. His work is VERY nice, and the prices reflect that. Too rich for my blood.....McM
Daniel Watson is the smiths name. Just remembered. :) ....McM

Was there a previous Albion line?
If memory serves me, they once had a "First Generation" line waaay back when. :) .....McM
Someone here who is more up on Albion history can probably answer your questions on that better than I can. :) ...McM
I also agree with everything Mark said. In general, the 1st generation of Albion Swords do not garner the high value of the 2nd gen swords, and for good reason. It's why the differentiated the new line as being a new and improved generation of swords.
Also, as mark points out, it's very tarnished, which is evidence of poor care.
Lastly, as a price point there was a 1st gen Acre sold on the boards here about 12 years ago for $325. So, even with inflation and calling it a rare sword, I doubt anyone would double the value of any sword in such a condition. $700 would get you a nicely kept 2nd hand Knight, Crecy, Agincourt (with shipping) or maybe even a Squire here on the boards.

I'd honestly be surprised if they can get $500 for it.

If it's an old Albion Mark sword it isn't worth nearly the price of a Next Gen. I'd pass. As for Angel Sword: Daniel Watson is a charlatan and maker of over priced monstrosities. Avoid.
Why do you call Daniel a charlatan, Patrick? Have you had a bad experience with him or his work? Just wondering....McM
Yes, it's one of Albion's First Generation swords. There's nothing wrong with it. I would not call it a dog. The wear and tear is simply cosmetic. It's a fine sword. Its value with the scabbard is roughly $300-400 max as far as I'm concerned.

I also disagree that Angel Swords work is very nice. I don't care for any of it.

Just use the search function, here or on any other discussion forum and you'll get your answer. Honestly, I don't have the patience to type it all out again. I'll just say that I first met Daniel when I was fourteen or fifteen years old. I'm now fifty one and I haven't seen anything in the years between to make me change my mind. I'd sooner throw my money into a fire than buy an Angel Sword.
