makes me think of this song:

... if I had a million dollars, I'd buy all your swords ...
I finished this one this week (more photos soon) :

Holy moly, serious business here! :surprised:
Some people say that the Renaissance is an age long gone. I disagree strongly. The Renaissance is NOW....and you, my friend, are helping to usher it in. Absolute masterpieces, one and all. I salute you, Sir........McM

What I really appreciate about your work, Mateusz, is that it has that look of authenticity about it. From what I have seen through many visits to European and US museums, leads me to the inescapable thought that, if one of your swords could be transported through time, some knight or nobleman of the era-appropriate place in medieval Europe would, I imagine, find nothing wanting, nothing strange; moreover would find it a prima example of the type.
Henry
I second that statement 100%. Awesome pieces, every one. :D ....McM
Thank you very much :)

I don't believe you could have done a finer job of recreating a truly historic and important piece. Bravo! The beautiful scabbard is luscious icing on the wonderful cake. Excellent work! :D .....McM

Wonderful job, Mateusz, it's extremely impressive! I would like to try it!
Both swords and scabbard are amazing. You must have worked some magic to make the bigger sword lighter. That must come down to the fact it is 1mm thinner at the spine.
Thank you very much :)
this is new type XIV

I love your work. In fact I'm trying to think of an appropriate commission for you. Most of what you do is a bit past my period of interest, but your version of St. Maurice and your type XI were very promising to me.

PS, I have a nephew in Poland named Mateusz, wouldn't it be funny if you were the same guy? Naahhh, he's a math professor. ;)
thank you :) nice to hear it.
I plan to make some 13th century Templar sword. blade type XII, crossguard type 2, pommel type J.
probably in April.

PS. of course I'm not math professor :D

Love all the little fleur-de-lis in an endlessly repeating pattern and the contrast with the white matte-finished belting. I would hesitate to handle it though, with anything but white gloves. That said, simply gorgeous and very "schlachta" (nobility) material.
Henry
Extraordinary work Mateusz; stunning.
