Three custom scabbards, made in relatively quick succession within about a month-and-a-half:

* Saya for Japanese katana by Spanish manufacturer
Beech core, double-layer lacquer cover
The engraved symbol is Hikari - Japanese word for Light

** Scabbard for Oakeshott Type XIV Sword by Peter Regenyei
Poplar core, leather cover
Herring-bone pattern seem
Leather belt with hand-made bronze buckle and plates
Steel chape

*** Scabbard for Messer by Peter Regenyei
Poplar core, leather cover
Herring-bone pattern seem
Leather belt with hand-made bronze buckle and plates
Steel chape
My scabbard is heavily-influenced by Leo Todeschini's work

"Everyone who has the right to wear a long sword, has to remember that his sword is his soul,
and he has to separate from it when he separates from his life"

Looking at the hilt construction, wouldn't the last sword be a falchion?

Well, strictly speaking the weapon itself is quite a strange mix of features from both messer and falchion.

Its author - Peter Regenyei - in his site, defines it as a "messer"; so this is the way I name it.
