For Sale: Windlass Longsword
This listing has been REMOVED and is no longer active

For sale is a longsword of unknown manufacture. It looks like an older windlass to me, but there are no makers marks at all. You may recognize something I don't and get a real sleeper here.
Blade is high carbon steel with a good temper at 32 1/2" long. Some light surface pitting spots here and there from being handled and not wiped, but overall you can see it is in pretty good polish. Unsharpened with no nicks.
Fittings are steel and very nice with occasional light surface pitting. Pommel is threaded. Handle is black leather.
Overall is 44 3/4" with a POB at 4" from the guard. Weight I would put at about 3lbs.

The sword is super well balanced and could easily be used single handed and would make an excellent cutter. The blade is stiff with instant and positive control. No whip at all and in two hands it really floats and handles like much more expensive longswords.

No sheath. $150 with $15 shipping CONUS

Not such a mystery anymore. I think this was a short run windlass that they lengthened the grip and used steel (which is very bright and shiny on my piece. Not tarnished). A derivative of this sword here: www.ageofchivalry.com/product.sc?productId=1710

Thanks for the input all. Price drop to $120
