This sword belongs to a descendant of a Dutch noble family. In my knowledge (which is elementary) this is a smallsword but i cannot tell if it is an antique or a replica or anything else to be honest! Every information-opinion-insight is most welcome!

Here are some photos:

I 've read (found only one source) that this "star" on the blade is a common feature on dutch smallswords created until ca1750. Can anyone confirm (or reject) this?

Thank you in advance,
Giorgos

It's definitely a smallsword, but I don't know anything about smallswords, or Dutch makers of them. Worried
