An 18th century Scottish Dirk...
Here is my latest 'Holy Iron'... a commissioned work. I'm not the first person to have a go at this piece and I humbly present mine in the wake of Vince Evans.

I have yet to photograph the sheath... And I still need to take a detail shot of the pommel... a very nice feature of this knife.

Looking forward to comments and feedback...
Spectacular! Glad to see another smith taking up the challenge of creating high quality Scottish dirks. Hope I can afford to commission my own piece from you soon. :)
Absolutely fantastic. Really! I love it. Great job, Scott.
Very nice job Scott. Vince is probably shaking in his boots!!
Thanks a lot everybody. I've gone through several phases of my work.. and the dirk seems to just sit right with me. Now I wish I could get going on those basket hilts.

I hope you keep pursing this niche. It seems to be a great fit. The details and texture found in this type of work marry very nicely to your aesthetics. The finished product really speaks to me.
Very impressive
