Hello all, I am a new member and still to find out if this is a place for me. Because of my interest in local history of the Levant (and budget limitations), my interest is focused mainly on daggers of Syria, Lebanon, Israel/Palestine, Jordan and the Sinai. I have a small collection of them. Most of these daggers are small, 20th century items and have no significance as weapons. They are man's jewelry. Some of them have become tourist souvenirs (like Moroccan and Omani daggers), but they are still a part of local history and dress.

I recently bought a shibriya (shabriya) on ebay that looks very different than the ones I know-these daggers have been the main type among the bedouins of Syria, Jordan Israel and Sinai in the first halve of the 20th century.

I was hoping to find an expert that could help me with the age and origin of it. It is a primitive, but beautiful piece.
Please look
