I have seen a lot of his blades on a bladesmith forum I'm on. This is the first one that I've seen destroyed. His blades are usually new and flawless. I think this is cool as hell but part of me is cringing at the loss.
Occam's razor was a bastard sword

Hey Robert, This is an extraordinary piece. Thanks for sharing it. It can be very informative to see from an archaeological/educational point of view as well as a great and noteworthy piece on its own. Well done. Of course I personally have a ways to go for 'Live swords' before I would consider a commission like this of a destroyed sword, but it's really great you had it done. Very unique.

Well, it did get noticed!!! There was to be a second commission, but the blade just didn't turn out.

I applaud your willingness and creativity to commission such a unique piece. Over the years, I've commissioned many things that are uncommon in the modern market simply to have those things reimagined and explored; to trigger a response and spark the interest of others. I think you've done all these things here, too. Well done!!
