Maybe the intricate hilt elaborations steal the show, but I find the asymmetric blade geometry to be really fascinating. Very cool sword.

The blade is what does it for me, too.
I don't know how likely it is that we would see it, but I would LOVE to see a cutting video with this. I bet it chops like a beast...
Hi Jeffrey
It can be cut, but its destiny is to thrust the horse. Pierce armor.
Hussar had weapons: lance, sword, broadsword or koncerz, horseman's pick and a gun.
I drew position of the sword and broadsword.
I'm sorry I'm writing translator, I hope you can understand that a little bit.

Both this and the saber are beautiful Tomek! I agree that while the hilt in itself is impressive the blade is what really draws me to this piece. It has since you first posted a picture of it.

I am also highly impressed with your drawing!
... now I know if I can't afford to commission a beautiful saber from TK, I can commission a
painting ! That's a very nice drawing !

Also, to possibly clear some things up about the type of blade I believe TK means, from the
book by Andrzej Nadolski, " Polish Arms / Side Arms " :

From page 38 of the text :

" Apart from sabers, rapiers, and small-swords, also other types of side-arms were used
in Poland in the 16th - 17th centuries, namely palaches and thrusting swords. The palache
had a broad, usually straight and one-edged blade. In Poland it was strapped to the saddle
below the knee of the horseman, quite apart from the saber strapped to his side. "
