Hello, I'm new here (got pointed to this website by Gropey the Clown on /tg/ if anybody knows that user), and I'm planning to join the SCA. While he pointed me towards a cheap kit that will be legal for sparring, I'm just curious if there's an index of smiths who can make SCA-Legal Phrygian Norman helms with faceplates.

I've already found This by steel mastery, but it's not exactly my favorite style, and I'd rather try to find an SCA legal forward curving faceplate like the helm to the far left on the image linked below.

And don't worry, I'm not blindly jumping into the SCA and blowing a ton of cash on a kit. I intend first to contact them and show up with a loaned suit to get a feel of what it's like to get whacked by a ratton club- but I'd like to form an index of smiths before hand who can make the helm (or have it on-shelf) for a non exorbitant price.

Patryk Nieczarowski can probably make you one. His website is: http://www.nieczar.com. Jeffrey Hildebrandt of Royal Oak Armoury makes really high quality armour; however, I don't know whether or not he does SCA stuff. His current backlog is 12 months. His website is here: http://www.royaloakarmoury.com
