Now Pulitzer is claiming that Roman arrow heads were retrieved from a 1,000 year old oak on Oak Island. :wtf: Anyone care to comment on these?

It is obvious that the entire archaeological community has been involved in a huge conspiracy for the last two centuries. It took someone with no scientific or archaeological understanding to work out that the Romans settled on Oak Island and traded with the natives.

Obviously!
I see no one asked the obvious question: How do you "find" THREE *intact* pointy things of any sort in a piece of lumber you are sawing up? Each one would involve, "Oh, crap, I hit something metal!" (Though on any decent sawmill something that small wouldn't even make a spark big enough to see as the blade sails through it.) Then laboriously chiseling several inches into the piece of wood you want to use to carve out the item. Rather than just spotting the cut-through shiny end (surrounded by rust and rot) and saying, "Huh, looks like a nail," and proceeding to build your fence.

So if none of these "crossbow bolts" has some kind of tool damage, and (as stated in the comments) show no signs of corrosion that would occur after a few decades or years in an oak tree, well...

Gads....

If any of you wish to engage Hutton Pulitzer in debate, go to the Roman History Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/groups/romanhistory/ - and join the closed group. It's an interesting page. Pulitzer seems to pop in about once a week with an attempt to deceive the credulous. He gets little joy there beyond what a troll receives.
Pulitzer doesn't visit this group, but it is a good one for discussing the Oak Island sword and other far-fetched pseudo-archaeology claims:

I like this image recently posted to the group:

It looks like the Roman History Facebook Page administrators finally kicked Hutton Pulitzer out of the group. He was back this morning with some more stuff about the crossbow bolts, but his entry - actually all his entries have now disappeared.
I like it how he is described as a 'former' tv personality. Do you have some kind of union or guild in the US for minor tv figures? Can their status be revoked? Is there some kind of embarrassing ceremony where his personality status is stripped away and he is exiled?

Unfortunately, in his business, "No publicity is bad."...
