Looks like an Oakeshott Type XVII.
Dates it to around the late 14th and early 15th century.
Each one of these type of swords were two handed.

Yes, they will almost certainly have the most info (assuming they still possess it). But without an inventory number or other identifying info, not to mention any language barriers, it might still be hard to get more info.
