Ive found a sword in my parents loft and wondering if anyone knew what type of sword it is. Pictures are attached

I guess this is a British Pattern 1897 Infantry Officers Sword.

Yes, it is a British Pattern 1897 Infantry Officer's Sword. It appears to have been made by Wilkinson. If so, there should be a serial number on the spine of the blade. If you contact www.armsresearch.co.uk you could possibly find out who originally bought the sword from Wilkinson. The GRV on the hilt stands for King George V, so your sword probably dates to World War One.
